What are the services like?
You can expect to be warmly welcomed at UMCGF. Sunday worship services are held at 10:30am via livestream and in person. Though there is traditional structure to worship, no two services are ever exactly the same! Many Sundays feature guest speakers, special musical or dramatic arts offerings a dedicated children’s message, but every Sunday offers beautiful, spirit-filled music, and insightful inspirational preaching.
How do I get there and where do I park?
UMCGF is located at 10 Chapman Lane, in Gales Ferry, CT. We are located across the street from MacDonald’s back behind the gas station. The church has a large sprawling property with three connected buildings. Click here to get directions to UMCGF. The church parking lot is located up the hill behind the building.
Where do my kids go?
On Sunday mornings, we offer childcare during worship. There is also a nursery off of the sanctuary for squirmy infants and parents to use during worship. Please see an usher for more information. Older children are invited to participate and stay in worship through the entire service. Activity bags are available as you walk in.
What should I wear?
Come and worship as you are. Be that in your Sunday’s best, jeans, or sweatpants, likely there will be others dressed like you. Or, join the choir and you can wear a robe!
